Director of Information

We have an opening on our volunteer Board of Directors. MTBCO needs someone who is both passionate about biking and possesses the necessary skills to keep our group organized. This Director will play a critical role in fostering communication and ensuring proper management and utilization of important organizational records. We are looking for someone who is organized and detail oriented, as well as a great communicator. Previous experience with this type of role is not necessary but would be an asset.

The Director of Information position is a voting member of the Board and has wide-ranging responsibilities requiring active participation. The typical time commitment for this role is 1-5 hours per week. Specifically, this Director shall:

  • Oversee the issuance of notices of General Meetings and directors’ meetings
  • Take minutes of General Meetings and directors’ meetings
  • Create agendas and presentations
  • Keep the records of the Society in accordance with the Societies Act
  • Assist in conducting the correspondence of the Board
  • Oversee the filing of the annual report of the Society and making any other filings with the registrar under the Act.
  • Participate in subcommittees as necessary

This vacancy will be filled by appointment as determined by the MTBCO Board of Directors.
