Get me it's name and it's trail condition and I'll add it to my report.

KT hasn't officially named it yet. Condition is "open for business".

Big wind storm yesterday so watch out for wind fall.  With that said, please do your part and help clean up the trails.  If you come across a downed tree, stop riding, get off your bike, and make an attempt at removing it.  The trail fairies won't appear again until the fall, so do your part and don't be a trail squid.

Just a heads up…. The big wooden table on Rub-Her-Down is broken in the middle and there is a downed bridge on upper section of Hucking Grass Hole.

Everything else is supper pimp.  Evern the road up!

Below is some info I recieved on trail conditions that I'm relaying on to you:

-Bearly there is OPEN
-Wind fall removed from Dirty Sanchez and Dr.no
-Tucker built a new trail 30 feet back from bearly there….looks like it goes to the 6km drop…not sure….very pedaly… possibly not finished
-Tucker is also building new stunts off of snakes back right at the 7km bypass…..visible from the road….build quality is decent, and the stunts are looking fun and sorta challenging.  These stunts lead to nowhere so assuming a new trail is being cut as well.
-Wobble pops has a new bridge that really smooths out a rough section…questionable build quality.

-There is also a new mellow skinny type stunt being built on wobbly pops that looks like it's built not too bad….it's not finshed yet.

-Someone removed the boards blocking that drop on boss hog after the wall roll down and supported the landing with shitty burnt logs…. re-closed the stunt and made the landing a little more obvious that it's broken.
-The roll down is still very lose at the bottom.

-The berm before the second new jump on rubherdown is getting really bad….huge sand pit.

-Also there is a berm on fist first as well as the roll down into the big booter is lose and a total dust bowl.

-Some of the wood on wobbly pops is getting scary as well as on Snakes Back

-The place for the most part is dialed and fun as hell.

Gillard forest service road is currently closed for access from the end of the paved road. Only vehicles with 2 way radios are permitted to enter. Ministry of Forests is running the show.

The good news is there is no snow on the trails as at Nov 9th.

Yup, all the snow is gone.  And like Rich mentioned above you will need a two way radio to be let in to Gillard FSR.  Today there even a road block a few kilometers in with a dude ready to hand out fines to people that snuck in with out radios.  The radio frequency you need is 154.25kHz.  This is for motorized vehicle only.  You are still aloud to walk or ride in.

This is the word on highway 97 so the temporary blockade of Gillard may well end (yay – be gone, radio nazi's). The trails are in rad condition, so if the snow holds off, get your last Gillard riding weekend of the season in (maybe)….

"Highway 97 to reopen Wednesday
by Castanet Staff – Story: 43044
Nov 10, 2008 / 2:25 pm

After being closed for close to three weeks, a portion of Highway 97 will be reopening on Wednesday.

Transportation and Infrastructure Minister, Kevin Falcon, says the highway will re-open at 5 a.m. November 12.

“I’d like to thank the public for their patience, especially residents and businesses in communities on both sides of the closure,” says Falcon.

Highway 97 just north of Summerland has been closed since Friday, October 24, after crews discovered a large fissure on a rock slope above the highway.

“Removal of unstable material has reached the point where the slope is secure and traffic can resume. Approximately 34,000 cubic metres of rock has been blasted from the site.”

Regular construction closures for the Highway 97-Bentley Road project will resume Wednesday evening at 7 p.m."

I was up at Gillard Saturday as came across some rednecks burning a camper in the rub-her-down pit; one of the MTB Crossing signs and it's 4x4 post blown away by a shotgun and another sign peppered with buckshot.
