Just a little note to let everyone know we had an incident up at Powers Creek early Sunday morning.
Some crackheads in what I think was a late model white dakota broke into my truck and stole my ipod, car adaptor and about $400 worth of tools(which, we were going to use on our way down at pick n' pull.)
We had everything out of sight, hidden…stashed.
The wierdest part about it, was that there was no damage or sign of break in… they even locked the door again when they were done!!!!!!
The clowns had no bikes, no boats and did look pretty suspiciou. They passed us on the way up and were coming down as we were unloading. They probably had a good 3 hours of time to F%*K around.
So… just F.Y.I.
PASS IT ON PLEASE… I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

Did you get a partial plate #? All the cops need is a white dakota and a partial plate and they can track it down.

My truck has been broken into up at powers twice now. Items stolen: One knife, a leatherman, a lockjaw hoodie, a few CD's and some pocket change. No damage to my truck either and they also locked up after.

I didn't get the plate number because I didn't think anything of it at the time.. it wasn't until after my shit got jacked that I knew it must have been them. Not like the cops can really do much anyway even if they caught them.
A good old fashioned stakeout/beat down is in order. My own version of the bait car program… SURPRISE @ssHole!

i'm also a member of the 'been broken into at powers' club myself, about a month ago. i'm all for a little street justice for these punks (same story with my truck… no sign of forced entry and they locked it back up afterwards)

Maybe we should let the police know, seeing as how it sounds like it is a recurring problem? Has anyone mentioned anything to the authorities?
I didn't think that I'd have to worry about something like that happening all the way up there!
It's disgusting when you feel like you're being preyed upon like that.
What's frustrating is that they have the opportunity to keep doing what they're doing, unchecked.
Arg.

Ya, do the proper thing first. Besides, the white Dakota might be known to police. Which could result with your items returned…
