MTBco would like to bring the “Provincial Trails Strategy” to the attention of it’s membership. Together with stakeholders and various organizations the strategy will serve as a hub for a shared vision of a “world class trails network”.
The provincial Trails Strategy initiative shows that the provincial government acknowledges the value of our various trails and networks and is looking to take a step forward in the management, stewardship and future development of these valued assets.
This provincial strategy ties in well with the City of Kelowna’s on going Mountain bike Strategy development and MTBco goals and initiatives. The club directors encourage the membership to visit the Trails Strategy websites listed below to learn more and to watch for the upcoming community input workshops that will be scheduled for fall 2008 in various regional centers.
